Someone once said to me that they didn't think I spoke to myself very kindly, and at first I brushed it off.
But then I noticed all the little micro-aggressions I made against myself every day - I berated myself for not knowing or doing things quick enough, well enough, or for any little slip up I made.
That cruel voice was so quiet and consistent, and I'd become accustomed to it always being there. I'd stopped consciously noticing it, yet it continued to titrate shame and not-good-enough-ness into my sense of self.
But once I noticed it, I couldn't unsee it. I'm getting much better these days at remembering to offer myself some grace and compassion when things don't go right or my fears get the better of me.
This Mini Mantra collection was born out of the positive daily reminders that help us to counter our demons and keep our energy and attention on the things we want to nourish in life. It's about the words that carry us forwards, but it's also about what got us here too.
It is from our real *lived* life that we learn and grow into the shape of us, evolving with the knowledge that each lesson brings.
Every scrap of silver - the things that didn't work out as hoped, the loose ends - are all melted down in the fire of life. Melted and galvanised into the figure who returns your gaze in the mirror.
This collection celebrates ALL of you. What got you here, but with the emphasis on where you're going now and what you will carry with you.
Truth, believe, hope, breathe, or...?
Choose one word to mark your moment and your movement onward.
What is *your* Mini Mantra?
